Soy la Dra. Anaís Delilah Roque Antonetty. natural del municipio de Rincón, en el archipielago de Puerto Rico. Un pueblo reconocido mundialmente por sus playas y gran biodiversidad.

Tengo un PhD (2021) en Ciencias Sociales Ambiental de la Universidad del estado de Arizona. Actualmente soy profesora de Justicia Ambiental en la Nicholas School of the Environment de la Universidad de Duke. Hasta hace poco, fui profesora de antropología socio-cultural y médica en la Universidad Estatal de Ohio. Mis intereses de investigación incluyen el manejo de desastres, salud comunitaria, la justicia ambiental y la inseguridad alimentaria, hídrica y energética en los hogares. Como académica comprometida con la comunidad, he desarrollado proyectos colaborativos con comunidades en Puerto Rico y los Estados Unidos en temas de seguridad hídrica, justicia ambiental, y recuperación de desastres a través del capital social. Mi objetivo general como científica social es crear un puente entre el conocimiento académico y el conocimiento y las experiencias locales para promover el desarrollo comunitario centrado en la justicia, la sustentabilidad y la resiliencia ante el cambio climático.
